Sonokata Misuzu (其方 美鈴)
16 Aug 2015 07:06My first instinct in reading two works by the same author is to compare all the characters, even if there really needn't be a comparison. When I first started reading Togashi Yoshihiro's Hunter x Hunter, I think it must have taken me a few volumes before I stopped comparing the quartet of Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio to Yuu Yuu Hakusho's Yuusuke, Hiei, Kurama, and Kuwabara and just started appreciating them as their own characters. I haven't reached that stage of enlightenment yet in élDLIVE--I'm constantly comparing Katekyou Hitman Reborn's Sawada Tsunayoshi and Sasagawa Kyouko to élDLIVE's Kokonose Chuuta and Sonokata Misuzu (and waiting for a Gokudera Hayato to enter).
In the case of élDLIVE and Reborn, I especially like to rant about the differences in our early introductions to Sonokata and Kyouko.
( Sonokata Misuzu (其方 美鈴) v. Sasagawa Kyouko (笹川 京子)!! (Actually it's just an image-heavy rant on Sonokata) )

ēlDLIVE - エルドライブ
15 Aug 2015 10:57Okay, so I reeeeeeally love Amano Akira's Katekyou Hitman Reborn, right? I haven't really noticed anything from Amano since the promo artwork / character designs she did for Psycho-Pass, so that's why I was stunned when Amazon sent me an e-mail today to inform me that the fourth volume/"season" of Amano Akira's ēlDLIVE has been released.

A Day of Great Success
28 Nov 2013 18:34Having finally received my notice from the Immigration Bureau (more than THREE MONTHS after my application was submitted) and still feeling all glowy from the possession of my shiny new not-a-student!visa, my friend and I decided to hit up a Book-Off on the way home. This is normally a bad decision, because I invariably leave Book-Off with more books than I can carry (or afford), and surprise of all surprises, this time was no different--they were selling the entire series of Yuu Yuu Hakusho all wrapped up together for less than 100 yen each, okay, I cannot be blamed for this. They had a HikaGo set, too, which was stupidly tempting considering that I already own the entire series sans two volumes (which I might have to just buy new, as three-and-a-half years of Book-Offing have not yet yielded them).
My glowiness has as of yet not evaporated. I feel as though I could do anything, even recover from this perpetual cold.
